Essential Financial Resources for Families

At Acorn Early Education Centre, we are committed to making high-quality early learning as accessible and affordable as possible for our North Shore community. We participate in key provincial programs to help reduce the monthly cost of care for our families.

BC Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI)

Acorn is a proud participant in the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative. This government program offers funding directly to approved licensed childcare providers to reduce and stabilize monthly fees for parents.

How it works: You do not need to apply for this separately; if your child is enrolled in our Infant/Toddler or 3–5 programs, the fee reduction is automatically applied to your monthly invoice.

Impact: This initiative significantly lowers the "out-of-pocket" cost for all families at our centre.

Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB)

The Affordable Child Care Benefit is a monthly payment from the Province of B.C. to help eligible families with the cost of childcare.

Who is eligible: Eligibility is based on factors such as income, family size, and the type of care required.

How to apply: Families must apply through the provincial government. We recommend applying as soon as your child is enrolled, as benefits are often not retroactive.
